Over the years we have built several guitars with spoke wheel truss rod adjuster. The great benefit is of course the possibility to tweak the necks relief on the fly. It might become standard on some of our models.
However it’s the first time we install carbon fiber rods in a neck, a feature I prefer rather than using roasted or torrefied maple in order to enhance stability.
To be honest I have never felt there’s any need to use any of these since we used premium wood – dense and dried. I have seen guitars we built decades ago and they’re still straight and stable. But you can’t be safe enough.
