We build approximatelly 4-6 custom ordered guitars a year.
Please note all guitars shown here are built as custom orders and are sold.

TC Custom

This TC Custom was built for long time customer Folke Dahlgren – a notable Swedish folk musician. He did some serious research prior to his order, evaluating every option and alternativs. He longed for a tremolo he could rely on, always going back to pitch so the choice was Super-Vee Blade Runner bridge with a Super-Vee Anti-Deflection Device. Then with the addition of Gotoh locking tuners he can’t go wrong.
The neck pickup is a Lollar P-90 Staples as found on old Les Paul Customs.

SC Custom Pine

The customer contacted us to build a guitar for his brothers 40th birthday in 2017. The special idea with the guitar was to use Swedish wood and parts preferably made in Sweden.
Body is from Swedish pine, neck from Swedish Birch and fretboard from Swedish oak which has been fumed in order to get a darker finish.
The pickguard is leather from reindeer, the dots (even the side position dots) ande nut are made from moose bone. And the pickups from Swedish Lundgren Guitar Pickups.

Laborega Custom

Laborega is special in many ways. The body and pickguard design is made in collaboration with the customer, inspired by some iconic guitar designs.
The neck pickup is not a traditional guitar pickup but a DPA condensor microphone. The customer had used a DPA to pick up the acoustic sound from the strings which he included in the mix and now wanted to integrate the microphone in the guitar. The condensor microphone sits in the bottom of a funnel and then connected to a built in phantom powered preamp, connected to a XLR contact at the rear end of the guitar.
The middle pickup is a Seven Engineering Gold Foil, the bridge pickup a Lollar.
The bridge is also unusual: a Babicz Full Contact that ensure there is full contact from the string down to the wood – no screws or other parts that will eat tone.

TC Custom “Four Elements”

For this guitar the customer had a clear vision of the guitar he wanted – down to every detail, even the string retainer and strap holders.
The electronics might be the most elaborate we’ve done – four push/pulls for split, series/parallell and out-of-phase.

Bahco Flying Wrenches

In 2015 we were approached by the Swedish tool manufacturer Bahco asking us to build a guitar “shaped as a wrench” for promoting their role as main sponsor of the Swedish rock festival Sweden Rock later that summer.
I made some designs but wasn’t really satisfied with them since a single wrench as a guitar looks weird. I presented them for Bahco and said it was difficult to come up with something that would work aestethically. I then started sketching with a wrench as a drawing template and came up with the idea of making it like an Explorer type. And then they idea of making it as a Flying V came up in my head. From there me and a friend developed a 3D CAD drawing.
Since it was a very complex project we didn’t manage to get it ready that year and was eventually finished and delivered in the spring of 2016.
Flying Wrenches has been present at Bachos booth at Sweden Rock and on an European tour with Bloodhound.
Since the body featured intricate sculpturing with lots of details we had to design in CAD and contract a company with a bigger CNC machine.

TC Classic Custom

Custom order from Johan Löfgren. A hommage to the early Fender Broadcaster from 1950-51; hence body in pine, fat all-maple neck, thin white nitro finish on body, bakelite pickguard, slot head screws all over, dome knobs etc. However with some modern updates as Ilitch Silent System, Electrosocket output jack cup, steel saddles and treble bleed circuit.
The Ilitch Silent System will ensure a hum free guitar in all working conditions. A large dummy coil lays in a routing underneath the pickguard. This is a really fantastic device that doesn’t interfer with the tone as most hum free pickups will do.

TC Standard Custom

Yet another custom order for Johan Löfgren. Body in pine, amazing Sherwood Green finish.
